Introducing the “TIDE CUTTERS” WINTER WORKER TROUSERS from FREEWHEELERS.

This model is based on the construction of trousers seen from the late 1800s through the early 1900s, combining the practicality of period workwear with the refined styling of classic slacks.

Unlike conventional slacks, the waist is constructed with a separate waistband.

At the center back of the waist is a distinctive V-shaped split often seen on early trousers, together with a cinch-back adjuster.

These details give the trousers a strong sense of classic period construction.

The waist also features the unusual combination of suspender buttons and belt loops.

The suspender buttons are finished in black-painted metal, while the belt loops are sewn between the inner facing and outer fabric of the waistband, reflecting the more elaborate construction found in early work trousers.

The front features slash pockets with a slightly rounded triangular fold-back design.

A small coin pocket is positioned along the waistband seam, adding another characteristic detail associated with vintage work trousers.

The rear pockets use different designs on the left and right sides.

One side features a wide welt pocket, while the other is finished with a flap pocket. A tool pocket is also positioned at the right rear, adding a practical workwear element to the design.

Moleskin fabric is used on the underside of the flap, the reverse of the cinch back, and the inside of the waistband.

The pocket bags are made from FREEWHEELERS’ original heavy flannel, showing the same attention to material selection even in areas that are normally hidden from view.

The main fabric is FREEWHEELERS’ original heavy corduroy made from 100% cotton.

Its substantial weight and pronounced cord structure complement the classic work-trouser design, giving the fabric a rich and dimensional appearance.

DARK MOCHA BROWN is a subdued color that naturally emphasizes the shadows and depth created by the raised corduroy texture.

While retaining the rugged character of traditional workwear, the brown tone adds a softer impression and pairs particularly well with autumn and winter materials such as leather and wool.

The garment is manufacturer-washed, and continued wear will allow the fabric to soften further and develop the characteristic aging of corduroy.

The silhouette is inspired by the brand’s “DERRICKMAN” trousers, with moderate room from the waist through the thighs.

The hips are comfortably shaped while the leg line is subtly refined toward the hem, creating a balanced silhouette that feels substantial without becoming excessively loose.

They pair naturally with leather jackets and work jackets, while also working well with more understated combinations such as shirts or knitwear.

This model can also be worn as a matching set with the “MILWAUKEE” RIDING NORFOLK JACKET made from the same fabric.
