Introducing the “LEALAND” ENGINEER BOOTS from Makers.
The upper is made from HORWEEN Chromexcel leather.
Richly infused with oils, Chromexcel has a supple, slightly moist hand and a distinctive transparent luster.
With repeated wear, deep creases will develop around the instep and ankle, while friction and flexing gradually create variations in sheen and tone, allowing the leather to develop a rich patina over time.
This model is inspired by 1950s engineer boots and is an updated version of the “HORSE ENGINEER CLASSIC” previously produced by Makers.
The boots are constructed using the Goodyear welt method.
The outsole features a separate Dr.Sole configuration, providing durability and grip while matching the classic character of the LEALAND.
Compared with the Makers HORSE ENGINEER, the toe has a slightly rounder shape with a moderate amount of volume.
At the same time, the heel area is designed more compactly, improving the fit while retaining the substantial presence expected from an engineer boot.
The insole features the Makers brand name, while the inside of the toe is lined with moisture-absorbing cotton herringbone fabric.
The boots are made in an E width.
Soft and supple Chromexcel leather begins to conform to the foot relatively quickly, offering a natural wearing feel while maintaining the substantial character of a traditional engineer boot.
CXL BLACK is a classic color that particularly highlights the natural luster and tonal depth of Chromexcel leather.
As the boots are worn, deeper creases form across the instep and ankle, while abrasion and flexing create variations in sheen, gradually developing a more rugged and distinctive black leather appearance.

The measurements above are exterior measurements of the finished product.
Outsole length is measured from the tip of the toe to the furthest point of the heel. Maximum outsole width is measured straight across the widest section of the sole.
Heel height is measured vertically from the ground contact surface to the top of the heel. Shaft height is measured from the rear of the boot to the top of the shaft, excluding the heel.
The boots are made in an E width, but engineer boots fit differently from lace-up footwear.
