Introducing the Forestier, Heavy Corduroy, Black from WORKERS.

This model is WORKERS' interpretation of the iconic Forestier jacket originally produced by the renowned French house Arnys.

Unlike a traditional tailored jacket, the body is cut with little waist suppression, more like a shirt or coverall, while the sleeves are kept relatively straight.

The stand collar also gives the jacket a distinctive balance, allowing it to layer cleanly over shirts and knitwear without creating the visual weight of overlapping conventional collars.

For the fabric, WORKERS uses an original 14oz Heavy Corduroy with substantial weight and density.

Rather than limiting production to Japan, WORKERS searched for a manufacturing source capable of achieving the exact specifications they wanted, eventually producing this original fabric in China.

The yarn count and density were pushed to a very high level, while compact-spun cotton yarn is used to control surface fuzz and create a smoother, more refined appearance.

Despite its substantial weight, the fabric has an elegant surface sheen and a surprisingly supple hand.

It is not simply a thick or heavy corduroy. The appeal lies in the balance between density, luster, softness, and structure, resulting in a fabric with a particularly rich and refined texture.

The heavy corduroy works especially well with the Forestier's stand collar and straight silhouette, giving the jacket a softer and slightly more urban character compared with the tweed version.

It is less formal than a traditional tailored jacket, yet more refined than a typical workwear coverall.

A classic Forestier-inspired design, reinterpreted through WORKERS' substantial 14oz corduroy fabric.
