Introducing the “Mountain Parka” from WORKERS, returning after a long interval.
Based on a classic mountain parka, this updated version revises the sleeve pattern from the previous model to create greater freedom of movement and a more natural sense of ease.
The biggest change is the added volume from the elbows down to the cuffs.
Through years of drafting shirt patterns and wearing them in daily life, WORKERS recognized how much elbow width affects comfort and mobility when the body is in motion.
That same idea has now been applied to this mountain parka, giving the sleeves noticeably more room.
The added volume is controlled with tucks flowing into the cuffs, while the tuck positions are offset between the outer and inner sleeves to prevent excessive bulk.
The cuffs borrow their construction from classic work shirts.
Rather than using hook-and-loop fastening, WORKERS chose its original stamped two-prong snap buttons, preserving a more traditional appearance.
The waist pockets feature a double-layer construction, allowing storage from the top while also providing side-entry handwarmer access.
Corduroy is used on the hand-contact side, giving the pockets a softer and more comfortable feel.
A chin guard is also added at the neck to prevent the front zipper from coming into direct contact with the skin.
The underside of the chin guard is finished in corduroy as well, showing the same attention to detail even in less visible areas.
The front uses a highly reliable YKK VISLON two-way zipper.
The lower opening can also be adjusted, making the jacket easier to wear while seated or when layered.
The outer fabric is classic 60/40 cloth, a traditional material long associated with mountain parkas.
It offers light water resistance together with a distinctive balance of firmness and light weight.
Because the nylon content is sensitive to heat, the fabric requires extra care during sewing and finishing. That difficulty is also part of what gives traditional 60/40 cloth garments their slightly rugged, old-school outdoor character.
While maintaining the classic appearance of a traditional mountain parka, this version has been carefully updated in areas such as sleeve mobility, pocket functionality, and the materials used in parts that come into contact with the body.

SIZE INFORMATION / How to Choose Your Size
Body length is measured in a straight line from the center back of the neck, where the collar meets the body, to the hem. Chest width is measured straight across from underarm to underarm with the garment laid flat.
Sleeve length is measured from the center back of the neck, following the shoulder line to the end of the cuff.
The measurements shown are the manufacturer's published measurements, so we recommend comparing them with an outerwear piece you already own when selecting your size.

Because 60/40 cloth contains nylon, it is sensitive to heat. Please avoid tumble drying and high-temperature ironing.
