Introducing the “Yama-Poke Work Shirt” from WORKERS.
This is a slightly more elaborate work shirt, returning after a long interval.
The most distinctive detail is the unique “Yama-Poke” chest pocket.
The pocket is designed with extra depth to accommodate thicker items such as a cigarette pack, while the lowered sides of the pocket opening make the contents easier to grip and remove.
It may look like an exaggerated detail at first, but this type of functional idea was actually patented at the time.
It is a detail that combines the practical thinking of vintage workwear with a distinctive, almost playful appearance.
The silhouette is generously cut through both the body and shoulders in a classic work-shirt proportion.
Because there are no back pleats, sufficient room is built into the chest and shoulders to provide not only a relaxed appearance, but also greater comfort and freedom of movement.
All fabrics are approximately 5oz in weight.
Neither too heavy nor too light, this is a versatile shirt weight that can be worn comfortably throughout much of the year.
The Indigo Chambray has a slightly lighter indigo tone with a distinctly classic workwear character.
Compared with the darker indigo chambray previously used for the Open Collar Shirt, this version offers a lighter and more casual appearance.
The Smoky Chambray uses top-dyed yarn.
The cotton fibers are dyed before being spun into yarn, creating a distinctive mélange appearance that cannot be achieved with a simple solid-colored yarn.
This technique is commonly seen in wool fabrics, and when applied to cotton it gives the fabric a subtle depth and wool-like visual character.
The Blue Heather Chambray uses twisted mélange yarn in the weft, combining white and colored fibers.
This creates a more complex and distinctive tone than a simple combination of solid-colored yarns.
The Indigo Check fabric was sourced through a mill well known for Indian Madras fabrics.
It has a slightly relaxed, irregular character that feels different from typical Japanese-made checks and works particularly well with the casual nature of a work shirt.
Engraved metal buttons are used at the front.
The finish was developed with vintage buttons as a reference, giving the original hardware an even richer appearance.

SIZE INFORMATION / How to Choose Your Size
Body length is measured in a straight line from the center back of the neck, where the collar meets the body, to the hem. Chest width is measured straight across from underarm to underarm with the garment laid flat.
Shoulder width is measured in a straight line from shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Sleeve length is measured in a straight line from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
Because this work shirt is designed without back pleats, extra room is built into both the chest and shoulders. We recommend comparing the measurements with a shirt you already own when selecting your size.

Indigo-dyed fabrics will gradually fade and develop character with wear and washing. Color transfer may occur through friction or when wet, so please take care when wearing with light-colored garments or accessories.
