Introducing the “SNIPER'S VEST CUSTOM” from COLIMBO.
Drawing inspiration from outdoor, hunting, and military wear, COLIMBO creates garments that can be naturally incorporated into modern everyday style.
Among its long-running designs, the SNIPER'S VEST has become something of a modern staple for the brand.
Its silhouette looks almost like a jacket with the sleeves boldly removed, giving it more of a sleeveless coat presence than a conventional vest.
The front is equipped with a variety of upper and lower pockets on both sides, providing a total of six large storage compartments.
An additional inner pocket adds even more practicality, giving the vest strong functionality to match its distinctive appearance.
The oversized hood is large enough to be worn over a cap and can be adjusted for fit.
A WALDES front zipper, original snap buttons, and leather reinforcement at high-stress areas further highlight COLIMBO’s attention to detail.
For this custom version, stencil markings inspired by work garments used at U.S. military supply facilities in the 1950s have been added.
The back features management-style markings suggesting depot registration, while the front carries stencil graphics reminiscent of work-unit codes and identification numbers, giving the vest a stronger military character than the plain version.
The concept imagines a civilian hunting vest being repurposed for use at a military supply facility or worksite.
Rather than reproducing a purely military garment, COLIMBO layers military-style management markings onto a civilian fieldwear base, creating a natural crossover between military, hunting, and workwear influences.
This kind of storytelling — suggesting a garment that might actually have existed somewhere in the past — is part of what makes COLIMBO so distinctive.
This KHAKI version uses a yarn-dyed canvas fabric with a naturally uneven and textured appearance.
The fabric already has plenty of character when new, but with repeated wear it will develop additional fading, wear marks, and surface variation, creating an increasingly individual look over time.
The stencil markings will also gradually soften and blend into the fabric as the garment ages, giving the vest an even more natural and worn-in appearance.
It can be worn lightly over a shirt or cut-and-sewn top, while in cooler weather it also layers easily over flannel shirts and sweatshirts.
It can even be worn over outerwear such as a leather jacket, making it a versatile layering piece for much of the year outside the hottest summer months.
With its distinctive stencil custom work, this version offers a different character from the plain model while retaining the same practical and highly detailed construction.

SIZE INFORMATION / How to Choose Your Size
Body length is measured in a straight line from the center back of the neck to the hem. Chest width is measured straight across from underarm to underarm with the garment laid flat.
Shoulder width is measured in a straight line from one shoulder edge to the other.
