Introducing the custom version of COLIMBO’s signature “SNIPER'S VEST.”
COLIMBO develops garments influenced by outdoor clothing, hunting gear, and military wear, while refining them for comfortable use in modern everyday styling.
Among the brand’s long-running semi-standard pieces, the SNIPER'S VEST has become one of its most recognizable models.
With a silhouette that looks almost like a jacket with the sleeves removed, it has more presence than a typical vest and feels closer to a sleeveless coat with a hood.
The front features multiple divided storage sections on both sides, providing a total of six large-capacity compartments.
An additional inner pocket is also included, giving the vest practical storage to match its distinctive appearance.
The oversized hood is designed to fit comfortably over a cap or hat, and can be adjusted for a closer fit.
The front uses a WALDES zipper and original snap buttons, while leather reinforcement parts are placed at key stress points, reflecting COLIMBO’s attention to durability and detail.
For this custom version, stencil markings inspired by workwear management markings used at U.S. military supply facilities in the 1950s have been applied throughout the vest.
The back features management markings suggesting depot registration, while the front carries stencils inspired by work-team codes and identification numbers, giving the piece a stronger military character than the standard model.
The concept behind the custom is based on the idea of a civilian hunting vest being repurposed for use at a military supply facility or work site.
Rather than directly reproducing a pure military garment, COLIMBO layers military management markings onto a piece rooted in civilian fieldwear, naturally blending elements of military, hunting, and workwear.
This kind of imagined background — something that feels as though it might actually have existed and been used somewhere — is part of what makes COLIMBO’s approach so distinctive.
For this OLIVE version, the outer fabric is a yarn-dyed canvas with a distinctive uneven texture.
The fabric already has plenty of character when new, but develops even more depth with wear as natural fading, creasing, and abrasion begin to appear.
The stencil markings will also gradually settle into the fabric over time, creating an increasingly natural and aged appearance together with the canvas itself.
It can be worn lightly over a shirt or cut-and-sew top, while in cooler weather it also works well over flannel shirts and sweatshirts, or layered with leather jackets and other outerwear.
This makes it a versatile three-season piece with a stronger sense of story and character than the standard SNIPER'S VEST.

SIZE INFORMATION / How to Choose Your Size
Body length is measured in a straight line from the center back of the neck to the hem. Chest width is measured straight across from underarm to underarm with the garment laid flat.
Shoulder width is measured in a straight line from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
Because the size chart is based on actual product measurements, we recommend comparing them with a vest or outerwear piece you already own.
