Introducing the “UTILITY PANT” from FAR EAST MANUFACTURING.
FAR EAST MANUFACTURING (FEM) is a brand newly produced by Yoshiyuki Hayashi of RESOLUTE in 2023.
While RESOLUTE is known for jeans, one of the most representative forms of casual pants, FEM launched a new military line beginning with the 2026SS collection.
This model is based on the utility pants adopted by the U.S. military from the 1940s through the 1970s.
In Japan, this style is also widely known as the “Baker Pant,” and remains one of the most familiar and popular styles of military trousers.
For this model, FEM focused on a mid-1960s version featuring a deep rise and a relaxed straight silhouette.
The fabric is an original back satin with strong horizontal slub character, dyed using sulfur vat dye.
The fabric has a firm feel when new and gradually develops more character through repeated wear and washing, allowing you to enjoy the natural aging expected from classic military trousers.
As with period military trousers, multiple inseam lengths are available depending on the waist size.
Combined with the deep rise and straight silhouette, this allows you to select a length that best suits your body shape and preferred fit.

SIZE INFORMATION / How to Choose Your Size
The waist is measured around the inside circumference of the waistband. For the hip measurement, the zipper and button are fastened and the straight width at the bottom of the fly opening is measured and multiplied by two.
The front rise is measured from the crotch seam to the top of the front waistband. Thigh width is measured horizontally from the crotch seam, parallel to the hem. Hem width is measured straight across the leg opening. Inseam is measured from the crotch seam along the inner leg seam to the hem.
