【Sugar&Co.】BOX SHIRT 2026AW

Introducing the “BOX SHIRT 2026AW” from Sugar&Co.

This is the third release in Sugar&Co.’s signature “Board Shirt” series.

Based on the classic board shirt that became widely recognized through 1960s surf culture, this version has been reworked with Sugar&Co.’s own modern balance.

The shirt features a straight-cut hem, a slightly shorter body length, and a relaxed width through the body, creating a boxy silhouette with an easy, effortless feel while still maintaining a clean and balanced appearance.

The fabric is a special 100% cotton material with a wool-like appearance and texture.

GOTS-certified organic yarns are used in both the warp and weft. The fabric is woven in a dobby construction at a slower speed than usual, allowing more air into the weave and creating a soft, full-bodied ombré check.

The yarn-dyed fabric also reflects the deep coloration characteristic of the Banshu textile region, while the herringbone structure creates a rich melange effect. A brushed finish adds further volume and gives the fabric a soft, comfortable hand.

Despite its substantial feel, the fabric remains 100% cotton.

It offers both warmth and moisture absorption, making it suitable as a light shirt jacket in early autumn and spring, while also working well as a layering piece under jackets and outerwear in colder weather.

Another key characteristic is the way the fabric changes with wear. As the shirt is worn over time, the material develops more character and gradually takes on an even more wool-like texture.
