Introducing the “Open Collar Shirt, Cotton Wool Flannel, Check” from WORKERS.

WORKERS has produced several long-sleeve open-collar shirts for the autumn and winter seasons in the past, but this version has been reconsidered from the pattern stage with a greater emphasis on simplicity and ease of wear.

Previous versions incorporated more elaborate details such as side slits and a difference in front and back length, but this time the hem has been kept straight. The overall balance has been refined into a silhouette that feels easier to wear on a daily basis.

The body has a comfortable amount of room, while the shoulder width is set to sit naturally without appearing either too dropped or too narrow. The sleeves are also cut slightly wider, making the shirt comfortable over inner layers and easy to wear not only as a shirt, but also as a light outer layer.

The top buttonhole is positioned horizontally, while the second buttonhole and those below are vertical.
The neckline has also been given slightly more room than previous open-collar shirts, allowing the shirt to be worn comfortably even with the top button fastened.

These adjustments may appear subtle, but they are exactly the kind of details that contribute to that immediate feeling of “this is easy to wear.” The silhouette, proportions and specifications have all been carefully refined in a way that is characteristic of WORKERS.

The fabric is a COTTON 90% / WOOL 10% flannel.

By blending a small amount of wool into a predominantly cotton fabric, the material develops a soft, slightly airy texture that is different from a standard cotton flannel. With wool making up only 10% of the fabric, the itchiness often associated with wool is kept to a minimum, making it comfortable and easy to wear.

The flannel also has enough body to be worn as a light outer layer in early autumn, while working easily as an inner layer once the temperature drops. It is a versatile piece that can be worn across a long season.
